About

Engineering systems that sense, think, and act.

A technology company built around embedded systems and AI.

AXIOMEKH, LLC designs and builds embedded systems: microcontrollers, sensors, wireless connectivity, and machine learning that runs on the device rather than in a datacentre.

The work spans hardware and firmware, the software above it, and the low-power radio links that connect it. We also advise on what is worth building, which is sometimes the more useful deliverable.

Founder

A rare intersection of software, hardware, and safety.

AXIOMEKH was founded by Samuel Wendpanga Ouedraogo, a software engineer and U.S. military CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear) veteran. That combination is unusual: most embedded firms bring either engineering breadth or hazard-domain depth. AXIOMEKH brings both.

CBRN work is a discipline of consequences. Equipment is trusted to detect what people cannot sense, in conditions where a false reading is not an inconvenience. That experience shapes how we approach every system we build, including the ones with far lower stakes.

How we work

Four things we hold to.

01

Reliable beats novel

A clever system that fails in the field is worth less than a plain one that does not. We optimise for how it behaves on day 400, not for the first demo.

02

One firm, every layer

Hardware, firmware, and models built by the same people. Fewer handoffs between vendors means fewer seams for a system to come apart at.

03

Say the hard thing early

If an approach won't survive contact with the field, the useful time to say so is before the budget is committed, not in the post-mortem.

04

Built to matter

The background here is environments where equipment failure has consequences. That standard carries into the work with lower stakes too.
